Early Lunch Dismissal:  All classes in “E” Pod, Music Room, and “S” wing

 

Soccer:  Our soccer season is over.  Please turn in your clean uniforms to coach Kirberg or coach Salmon.

 

Basketball:  Try-outs and practices will start sometime mid to late November.  You will be notified in the Daily Bulletin, by announcement and flyers.

 

CJSF:  The first CJSF meeting is TOMORROW at 2:20 in the Jaguar Den. All members are required to come. We will discuss the rest of the year, service, fun events, and other details

 

Appelley Publishing Student Poetry Contest:  Over $4,000 in prizes.  $500 first place prize for grades 6-8.  Cash prizes for entering (random drawings).  Mailing deadline is November 7.  All pertinent information can be obtained at www.appelley.org   Flyer with additional information has been sent to all teachers.  Good luck to our budding poets!

 

Scholarship Opportunity: 2020 Prudential Spirit of Community Award.  Now accepting applications to honor students’ volunteer service.  Have you volunteered over the last year? Apply at spirit.prudential.com or nassp.org/spirit.  You could win a $1,000 scholarship, a medallion and a trip to Washington D.C. Application deadline is November 15, 2019.

Leadership: 

 

Fright Night:  On Friday, October 18, from 6:00-8:00 PM, Leadership will be holding a creepy crawly party, complete with games, scary movies, photo booth, cookie decorating, and more.  Permissions slips are needed to attend, and are due no later than Thursday, October 16.  You can pick up a permission at the table in front of the office.  Get your permission slips turned in early, because the event will be canceled if not enough interest is shown.  There is no fee to enter, but you will need money to buy food and drinks once inside.  If you’re on the non-participation list for behavior or tardies, you are not eligible to attend.  Bring your family!!
